This memorial website was created by Steven in loving memory of his father, Francis Lyon (Frank).
Frank was born on 11th September 1942 and sadly passed away on 21st June 2008 at the age of 65 after losing a 13th month battle against cancer.
Frank is survived by his wife Norma, to whom he was married for 43 years, his son, Steven, his daughter, Debbie, his brother, John, his daughter-in-law, Kathy, his son-in-law, Peter, his granddaughters Katie, Mia and Emma and his grandson David. He is missed greatly by family and friends and will be remembered forever.
Frank was a true family man, he loved spending time playing with, and reading to his grandchildren, all he wanted was to be with his family. Some of his interests included photography, DIY and Gardening. After he retired he developed a keen interest in tracing back his family tree and video editing.
A memorial service will be held at Landican Crematorium, Arrowe Park Road, Wirral, Merseyside, CH49 5LW on Monday 30th June 2008 at the North Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be sent to: St. John's Hospice, Mount Road, Higher Bebington, Wirral, CH63 6JE.

Simply a gentle man... - I am very honoured to be able to say that I had the priviledge of meeting Frank.

Dear friend - I first met Frank when he came to work for the same Company as myself. After a while I was transferred to his department We kept in touch after retirement and I am pleased to have counted him as a dear friend and able to talk to him on any subject or problem He had a very generous nature, and thought the world of Norma and his Family. Frank - I am so saddened to hear of Frank's passing and my thoughts are with Norma, Steven and Debbie at this time. Frank was such a constant in the family as I grew up and it's hard to think he is no longer with us. In recent times I met with and corresponded with Frank more than we had for many years, sharing a common interest in the family history. His diligence and his passion for this put me to shame and I was hugely appreciative of his enthusiasm and his generosity in sharing the latest information gleaned.
